About Tony Corroto
Tony served the City of Atlanta Police Department (APD) as a police officer for 17 years, spending 14 of them as a senior police officer assigned to the DUI Task Force. As an SFST and drug recognition expert, he trained police officers in the DRE program at the Georgia Public Safety Center, taught 46 police recruit classes DUI enforcement at the Atlanta Police Academy, and administered over 6,000 breath alcohol tests (BATs) while running the BAT program. He also collected data productivity reports including tickets and arrests to receive state and federal grant funding for the APD. He was listed as an on-call expert witness on over 2,300 DUI cases in one year, and on over 10,000 DUI cases total. He arrested over 2,700 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Under his enterprise, Tony consults on DUI cases, providing nationwide expert testimony on impaired driving concerning the Drug Evaluation and Classification Program. In addition, he is qualified to give expert opinion in 21 states on behavioral effects of alcohol and drugs in the human body, standardized field sobriety testing, the theory and science of evidential breath alcohol testing, and police procedures. He uses his 34 years of knowledge and expertise to teach and train legal professionals, law enforcement, and the public.
